As you know his father's name (Ralph) I assume you have this from Albert's marriage certificate? If so, what is Ralph's occupation, the residences at the time of the marriage and the witness names? (or is the information just from word of mouth? if so getting the marriage cert would be the next best step)

If Albert died in about 1965 at the age of 70, he was born c1895 and the only Albert Robson, of this age, in the North, not with parents, is born Trimdon, Durham, listed as Nephew. There don't seem to be any Ralph and Elizabeth Robson's with a son Albert of the correct age.

As Susan says, any more details would help greatly.

Cat  :)

ps. Found this birth, which I assume is one of Albert and Sarah's children? -

Let's start with what you know.  Albert died c 1965   Do you know where?   His death should give his age so then it narrows down the search for a birth.  If he was one of triplets then we should be able to spot them in the index as they will have the same or consecutive reference numbers.
