Well, I think the Manners I found earlier are quite likely to be the ones - sister in law Ann Morris and son John seem to fit the bill ...

I have received the marriage cert for William Manner?? and Margaret Morris.  both aged 20.  they were married november 1850.  the writing is really awful!!  His father is Morgan and hers Daniel.  So the fathers name is correct but i can hardly make out the address for her or him.  The second word looks like Isaf but the first word could be anything - it looks like Befu.  They both made their mark.  In ythe 1851 census they are at Penheolcerrig.  I don't really know Merthyr.  Is there anyone who could help me please?

I do not live in the area, but it states that 1851 census address is in the 'Heolgerrig' area.  Click street index on link, great site for merthyr

http://www.alangeorge.co.uk/old_merthyr.htm

Hopefully some of the place names surrounding the area with make more sense of the cert writing?

Possibly you may get info later from those that know the area well.
