I have a John BIRRELL, m. Jean WYLIE date unknown.

I also have a John Birrell WYLIE, son of David & Janet (McQUEEN) WYLIE b. 1833 Forgan, Scotland.
I believe David WYLIE was a brother of Jean WYLIE, hence maybe the middle name of BIRRELL
for his son.  David & Janet WYLIE migrated to Tasmania, Australia in 1853, followed by their son William WYLIE
and his wife Isabella ADAM.

There was obviously a strong tie with the BIRRELL name to have given the name to a son.

From the Fife Pre 1855 Death Index:

BIRRELL   John      Dysart,Pathhead   .. Oct 1832      nk   manufacturer   hu   Jean Wylie      MI's   Campbell   Dysart   ..   Oct   1832             John BIRRELL   nk   59005   1832

BIRRELL   Jean   WYLI:   Dysart,Pathhead   .. Dec 1846      nk      wd   John Birrell(manufactr)      MI's   Campbell   Dysart   ..   Dec   1846             Jean BIRRELL   nk   59005   1846
