As the saying goes, I have digested, congitated and.......

It would appear from all the above information that Robert Barnard was married twice.  Going on the dates I would assume that his first wife Hannah Sydell was James mother.  This has opened up our family tree even more!!

Can anyone enlighten me more on this or on Hannah herself.

  It is interesting that an unusual name then crops up in Dover ....

  Snasdell William Sydell marries Harriet Hewett 26 Feb 1822 St Mary The virgin in Dover.

  The ages for William & Susannah in 1841 will be out I know as per rounding up so I found this....

   Susannah Sydell  bap 1823 16 May St Peters Wisbech Cam .

  Father Sneasdale Thomas Sydell     mother Hannah.

  Cannot see Williams bapt!

Snasdell Sydell father of Hannah 
Hannah Sydell (do we know her maiden name ) mother of Hannah
Hannah baptised 12 Nov 1817 Elm, Cams  - she married Robert Barnard
Eliza sister baptised 3 May 1812
Susannah born baptised 16 May 1823 St Peters, Wisbeach
William born c 1826

Can we go further back or am I pushing things too fast!

   Well   It is an unusal name and I have googled it to see if it comes up but it is other site that have his name as listings that we have here.

   I would think that his father a Sydell married a Snasdell as the name in various spellings can be seen around Cambridgeshire  a few in Essex  and some in Kent  the biggest group is Norfolk.

  He stated not born in county in 1841 while living in Cambridgeshire ...so Norfolk may be a place to look for him earlier. I will see what's available.
