Does anyone know if there is a resource where I can try and find an Irish ancestor,

I have a Patrick McVey (spelt McVay on some records but may have even been McVeigh) who is merely listed as being born in Ireland about 1794. He came to England and was married in about 1826.

Where would be a good place to start a maybe futile search?

I have very recently come across a Patrick McVay in my family tree.

I think he was born in Ireland but iam not 100% sure. He married Hannah born abt 1791 and they had a few children who grew up in manchester.

Do you have any information on your Patrick Mcvay?
