'Yellow bellies' in Yorkshire
« on: Wednesday 23 April 08 19:55 BST (UK) »
Hi

It's a poor poor image I know, but is it beyond hope of even a basic touch up?  It's the only image I have of my 3x great grandparents.  If it's gone past the point of being worked on, not to worry, I've got the image and that's what matters.

Thanks, Boosh

This is my offering.  There is just too much bad information in the photo.  I am certain that someone will do a better restoration.
POSTEES: If possible, PLEASE, scan your images at 300 - 600 dpi, for both ease of restoration and best results
RESTORERS: Feel free to change/improve/colour any restorations posted by myself.  Acknowledgment would be appreciated.

Your time and effort is very much appreciated, to have the background without the checkerboard effect is a great improvement in my opinion.   ;)

Thank you Charles.

Hi Boosh

Not the best I'm afraid, but not much to work with.

Wowie, wow, wow!  That exceeds all expectations, particularly as it is such a low quality image!!  I applaud your talents.

Many many thanks

Boosh  ;D

Just as an aside,  having looked at the terrific work done by the great restorers on the 1868 photograph.
Having worked in Yorkshire for many years,  I understood that "yeller bellies" was the title given to people from Wakefield by the people from Leeds!!

Great piccy.

Hi - there's certainly some talented and generous people out there, that's Rootschat for you!  The picture was sent to me, I understand it was in a local publication about Hunsingore.
