Sheffield Street names

I wonder if anybody knows what part of Sheffield these old street names were in...

Mushroom lane
Industry Street
Rockingham Street
Orley Street
and Pheasant Yard.

All interseting names where my relatives once lived, nut I have no idea where they were (or indeed are).

from what I can make out on my map Mushroom, Industry and Rockingham are all in the area between Walkley and Heeley. 


Don't know if that is of amy help or not.

Industry Street is in Walkley.
Mushroom Lane also Walkey but nearer town
Rockingham Street is more to centre of town

Not come across the other 2 names.

Hello,

Pheasant Yard is off Apple Street, (wherever that is )! I have attached an extract from Kellys 1893 Directory, Leeds, Sheffield and Rotherham. Orley Street does not appear in the street index. I have a current street guide to Sheffield at work, I can look it up for you if you've not found it yet.

Apple street is part of Harvest Lane. According to a guide I have, but is not actually shown on the guide. I suppose that why Pheasant yard is also not shown.

Sent that message before I should have.  The Old Harrow on Harvest Lane still stands.

Industry Street is about 5 minutes from where I was born. Who Lived on there?

There are a wadge of Kitsons, and Simmonites on the Sheffield Chuchyard Burials PM sent.

I think Orley Street is Otley Street but i can't remeber where it is

I wondered if it was Otley Street, cos when I looked the other streets up in the a-z, there is an Otley Walk in same vicinity, no Otley street listed now though.

I have attached otley street from Kellys 1893 Directory Leeds, Sheffield and Rotherham.
