Joseph Rawlings Hay

Please has anyone got any info on Joseph Rawlings Hay on his marriage cert. to Mary Fielding Plume his father was down as John, he died in 1859 age 40 in a Public house, Surrey, wife Mary is on 1861 as being out of work by 1871 she was in West Ham.

I believe he was born in Croydon Surrey about 1819 has anyone seen a baptism for him please.

I believe on the census he is under Hays or a similar wrong spelling.

Do you have his occupation from his marriage cert. Might help to find him in 1851 and get a place of birth.

Doesn't help with baptism if this is him.

In 1851 Joseph is recorded as born Croydon 1821 and he is licensed victualler at the Queen Adelaide in Hammersmith with Mary and family

No aged parents living with him, though

Thanks for the help, I wonder who Ellen is too this is the trouble with 1841 not a lot of info and so I shall go back to look at marriage cert. and check occupation etc.

I am finding it hard to work out how to post the image of the marriage cert as I wondered if anyone could help with Joseph's fathers occupation.

The usual browse is not appearing help...
