1841 Almond Look up request - completed with thanks
« on: Sunday 04 May 08 20:08 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Still not solved my Almond mystery!

Can anyone kindly tell me the rest of the household for Thomas (age abt 14) and Jarvis (age abt 17) Almond in 1841?

They were residing at Balm Green, Sheffield West.

(Piece #1338/7, folio 51a, enumeration district 17.)

Thank you,

Helen.

Hi there,

Thanks for sticking with me on this.

I had believed that Henry was the son of Thomas (Edge Tool Maker, b1781 Sheffield) and Hannah (born Hannah Needham 1782 Sheffield), but that would have made Hannah 46.  Thomas died in 1832 and the last child of the family that I knew of was born 1829, so it does seem likely.

BUT:  I had considered that Henry might have actually have been Thomas and Hannah's grandson.  If I could link him to a different generation using the 'cousin' link, it might have cleared things up.

I'm still non the wiser as I have not come across the Thomas born around 1826!! ???

Thanks again for your help.

Helen
