Hi Jo,

Cannot see a Boslam St on any of my 1850 maps, nearest is Boston St, Hulme. Looked in the Hulme Unfilmed and as you guessed the lower house numbers are missing.

I did find these in the 1855 directory

James Beevers, Shoemaker, 39 Piccadilly,  house at 60 Mornington St, Chorlton on Medlock

Martha Beevers, Widow, 78 Bloom St, Portland St

Rebecca Beevers, Widow, 12 Stanley St, Salford

Hope this helps

Dave

Hi Dave

thanks for that Rebecca ias mine, have no idea who Martha is and hopefully will find out today if James is in my tree  :)

I have written down on a piece of paper From 1851 GEORGE BEEVERS 17 Boslam st,a  Glassblower, although the George i was looking for was a shoe/bootmaker,(husband of Rebecca) i thought it might be a transciption error, and jsut wanted to see if he could be found. Not to worry, have enough hurdles without putting myself thru another one... including Martha now ! lol

although now i can see between 1841 census and 1855 for a death of George

cheers  ;)

Hi Jo,

From the 1846 directory

George Beevers,  Boot & Shoe maker,  4 Gartside St.

Still can't find him in 1851
