Tried initial 'M' on the SIT and received 0 (zero) names. As mine is one of them, and there must be very many more, looks like a problem with the database/programme?! ???

Regards - Dave

I think the SIT gets hiccups now and then - the problem sounds familiar, but there is no known solution.

Trying again the next day usually seems to work (but then another letter "hiccups"  ::) )

regards,
Bob

Try again - it's OK now :)

(it gets hiccups now and then, usually it's alright 24 hours later)

Do not dismiss the spelling using a c rather than an s. You need to be flexible with surnames and these spellings would have been interchangable. On the SIT cross check the surname with first names as well as the area your family lived in.

If you get stuck you can start your own thread asking for help or confirmation that you are on the right track.
