never did find the shipping records.  Found out on Joseph Henry Smith's war file that the surname was changed to Smith soon after the arrived here in 1902/1903.
Smith -Australia1800 - 1900,
Coppell - England 1600 to present, New Zealand -1850 to present
Buckby - England 1600 to present, Australia - 1800 to present, New Zealand - 1880 to present
Newdick - England 1713 to present, New Zealand -1840 to present Thompson England 1800 to present, New Zealand  1860 to present
Dykins - Wales 1700 to present, New Zealand 1903 to present, Australia 1890 to 1900
