Matthew COWLEY, chairmaker, probably b. Co. Meath about 1780. Probably went to England (Manchester) before 1841as son Thomas is apparently b. 1811 Lancashire. Wife perhaps Mary or Charlotte. Any information gratefully received

Hiya mairforder,

I had a look at the online extracts of Griffith's Valuation for Co. Meath which took place in 1855. The Cowley surname appears in every parish in the county. Do you by any chance have a Christian name that looks like a surname in your family tree? That might help to establish the surname of Mary or Charlotte.
