June 1914 GRO birth record
« on: Wednesday 14 May 08 16:05 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Can SKS take a look at the GRO birth record for June 1914 in Sculcoates for Jessie Stenson ?

As far as I can make out, the mothers maiden name is 'Baroner' - although my eyes aren't certain about this.
The trouble is that I can't find any marriage reference for a 'Baroner' - anywhere!

Thanks
Stenson, anywhere any dates

Hi

The image is not good but it looks like Baroner to me too.

Have you used FreeBMD (OK up to this time frame, pretty complete) to search for male Stenson marriages and just eyeball the spouse name to see if it looks close ?

Of course, they may not have married ..... have you looked for the surname in the 1901 census ?

If the wife had been married previously, then she would have married Mr Stenson under her first married name not her maiden name.

Worth thinking about?

The birth certificate should show if the mother had been married before.

Thanks everyone.

Short of sending off for a copy of the birth certificate, I reach the same conclusion that Mr S and Ms B weren't married.

So, another £7 to spend.

Thanks, though
