Can anyone assist with a pre 1837 marriage look up.

I am looking for the marriage of Thomas FINCH b. c 1759   to  Mary ??   marriage believed to have taken place in the Houghton / Madehurst area c1779

Hey there

have found the following:
5 apr 1775 - Thomas Finch ( bach 22, wheelwright form Bury) applied for license to marry Mary COOTE of Amberley (sp, 22) - sponsors WF and William Sowter (victualler, Chichester).

6 Apr 1775 - marriage in Amberley between the above. Witnesses: James Foster (jnr) and John White

This is the only marriage I could find between a Thomas & Mary within a 20 yr period of 1779.
