From the 1901 census (where Grace is with her family at Rat Portage (Town/Ville) N(2)-5  Page 16),  her birthdate is Oct 16 1885.

In 1911 her parents are at:
1911 / Ontario / Thunder Bay and Rainy River / 78 Kenora / page 22

By 1918 part of Grace's family - Halford William Stevens, her brother, and her father William at the very least, were in BC already - so possibly Harry and Grace followed them? Halford m. Myrtle Marguerite Conway in 1920 and died in 1977.

I can't wait for Karen to come in and straighten us out.  ;)

The listing seahall found on Ance**ry ( why can't we put the real name?) transcribed as Afert when found on Automated Census is transcribed as Dyset Harry and Grace.

No wonder we have so much trouble finding people  lol

Here they are in the 1911, they are transcribed bad on the both ancestry.ca and automatedgenealogy.com, I had just searched under first names Harry & Grace, thank goodness there wasn't too many of those combinations in Canada in 1911.

Hi Ruskie  :)

I have a few folk to ask about so was looking at available resources.

Quote
In 1911 her parents are at:
1911 / Ontario / Thunder Bay and Rainy River / 78 Kenora / page 22

In 1911 Harry and Grace are on page 23.

Still do not know how they managed to make Frost out of what is listed on original.

Thank you very much Jorose, Karen and Sandy. Your help with this family is much appreciated.

I have had a couple of very kind offers via PM, and am now being sent a copy of the 1911 census and a copy of the d/c's for Harry and Grace.

Thanks to all.
 ;D

Looking at the 1911 census they appear to be childless.

Next challenge, if anyone can be bothered, is to find son Stephen (perhaps Steven?) born in about 1920. (Checking to see if the M-in-law was right about this too  ;D.)

Thanks to all helpers. I only wish I had more lookup requirements in Canada as you are such a good bunch.

Added later:
OK, wild goose chase, just discovered from the m-in-law that Steven was adopted. Sorry if anyone has tried to look for him.
Phew, thank goodness, if no-one has.  ;D
