Hi suzard

Thank you for the census information.

A Charles Thomas Woosnam married a Morgan.
Given name unknown.

Charles was born in 1878, Kerry, Montgomery, Wales.
He attended Cambridge University as a young adult.

I looked up Free BMD between 1900 to 1920 and came
across only two Charles Thomas Woosman recorded in all counties.

One of them was married to a Eliza Selina MORGAN, Dec. 1904,
in Carmarthen.

Eliza was still living at home in 1901 so not sure if this is the
lady Charles married.   :-\

Thank you for your help!  Too bad there is no 1911 census.

Regards
English Daisy

I can only find 4 birth reg's for Eliza Selina Morgan - and only the one found (daughter of George Morgan) was b. in Wales - two of the others are too old and the 3rd one was b 1868-not in Wales - so I would say it is a strong possiblity the Eliza (daughter of George) is the correct one.
Also she ould have been an educated girl to be deputy registrar.

Hi Suzard

Yes, I was thinking that myself re Eliza holding that
position!  Very nice!

Apparently, Charles started a BA degree in 1905.
So, maybe he did a little travelling to Carmarthenshire
before starting his studies!

Thank you
