Ancestry is both a blessing and a curse. As a rank amateur at genealogy, I would hate to think what I would do without the site, because it does so much automatically. However, I do wish that it was a bit more "configurable" - recently I started a couple of new family trees which concentrate solely on certain branches of my main tree, and now it keeps offering hints from my own trees, and I can't configure it to stop !
Also, a better editing tool would be really nice, so I can lop a whole branch off if I make a mistake, instead of erasing people one at a time. It's so easy to create "orphans" if you erase someone before erasing their children, and orphans never show up on trees.
But (as others have said), "Oh well"
We can't have everything, I suppose.
