a distant ancester of mine moved from notts to yorkshire, in the 1881 census he is the proprieter of the cherry tree hotel, market street,huddersfield.
does anyone know if a list of landlords exists so i can try to see what year he took this over,does it still exist

This may assist - though oddly it looks as though the Cherry Tree Inn to which it refers was pulled down before 1881 ???
