Hi

The Cherry Tree Hotel no longer exsists Im afraid.

I cant remember when exactly it was demolished but I would say late 1960s-early 1970s to make way for new shops and offices.

A lot of Huddersfields buildings of character and superb architecture..namley our old Market Hall were pulled down to make way for what can only be termed as concrete blocks for shops and offices and they are awfully grim..all te same just concrete boxes of no character or anything.. :'( :'(

hi jane
many thanks for that.sadly i have to agree with you its the same where i live.lovely examples of architecture demolished to make way for dull uninspiring souless buildings that will no doubt not last 30 years
