HEWSON- East Yorks pre 1780's

Has anyone any info. on Hewson family in east Yorks?
 John Hewson born 1777 in Rise (Hull)Yorkshire married Martha Hawksley I believe his father was also John Hewson but have no other details. Can anyone help with any other family members?

Hi, I may have some information regarding the Hewson family, if it is the same one.  I have an Abraham Jackson Hewson b1796 in Scarborough I believe, whose father was John Hewson.  I know its a long shot, but it is possible that your John is one and the same - John would have been 19 when Abraham was born.  I have Abraham's mother as Mary, which is very similar to the Martha you have.  Feel free to get in touch/pm me if you think the Hewsons are the same family.
