Hi. I didn't find anything for William and Catherine in the records. I found one Peter Mullany, but there was no information whatsoever on the index card other than a name and number, 209481, so no way of knowing who it was.

Unfortunately, there is no index of deaths. It becomes hit or miss, narrowing things down. Maybe there are some directories online somewhere that will help narrow it down. I'll have a look on Ancestry and see what I can find.

I didn't see anything for directories on Ancestry, but if you try googling, you might find something. I also checked military records for Peter and couldn't find anything. Do you have Peter in the 1930 census. I did find one Peter Mullany in Pennsylvania. The age was right but it said he was born in Pennsylvania. But I am not sure if that is your guy or not.

Thanks for help Kath,
Tha only Peter Someone found for me is the one on the 1930 born Pennsylvania if my memory is correct he was in Prison :o.

I  wonder if they ever came back to England  ??? I Know Peter did in 1921 but returned in 1922. His Grandparents were the Isherwoods he went over to America with, So i wonder if he came back when his parents both died  in 1940 . Also i wonder if the Isherwoods came back to England and stayed ??

If anyone with Access to passenger lists could take a look might be a long shot but you never know !!

                                               Thanks Again Yvonne

Looks as though William may have made a trip back to England.
New York Passenger Lists show:
Nov 5, 1928 on board "Baltic"
William ISHERWOOD, age 64, Male, Widower, home address 2720 Croskey Street, Philadelphia
Naturalized at: Quarter Sessions Philadelphia County
Philadelphia, PA on 24 April 1919.
There is a handwritten notation:   PP513516, a possible Passport Number?

Thanks Grub,

Well I know Near enough now that my GG Grandmother died somewhere between 1920 when they were all on census together & 1928 when William sailed back to England as a widower ! Was there a return passage back to America for William ?? Or maybe i am looking in England for his Death ?

On the 1920 census Peter Is classed as an Isherwood and it says he is there son !! But Infact he was There Grandson & named Mullany Unless he changed his name ??

No sign of William and Peter On 1930 census , So perhaps William Never returned to America & Peter ?? Who knows  >:( I'm Rambling Now  ;D

Would love to have the Death of Catherine Isherwood ( My GG Grandmother) But dont know were i would fined the records for Philadelphia !!
Oh well i will keep digging
                                             Thanks again Yvonne ;D

Hi Yvonne
I believe the Passenger info I posted was William returning to the USA FROM England.....in 1928.
Sorry my wording was off.
