WW2 Info needed

I hope this is the right board for this post.
Does anyone know of a site on the internet that lists all soldiers in ww2 or do they just list the ones that died or lost in action.

Just the ones that were KIA or (sometimes) died during service or attributed to service I'm afraid.

Personal records are still with the Ministry of Defence and permission is required from the next of kin for release of information ........... for a fee!

There are a lot of sites that deal with more general war matters - is it anything specific that you are looking for?

Im trying to find out which regiment my dad served with in ww2 he probably told us lots of times when we were kids but we cant remember the only thing i think i remember was he was stationed in N Yorkshire either Redcar or Worksop

Don't suppose you have his war medals or any related info which might give a number and/or regiment?
