Nancy Pennelt, Gomersall

Hello,

Can anyone shed any light on the family of Nancy Pennelt?

She was born c1893 and she married Sam Spencer 18th April 1914 at St John's Church, Cleckheaton. I understand they soon had a child, who may have been named Frank.

Nancy's father was William Pennelt, and they lived on The Mount, Gomersall.

Can anyone help fill in the gaps?

The William Pennett b. Q3 1867 Leeds also died Q3. 1867 Leeds.

The William in Linda's post was born in 1870.

There is also a William Pennet (one t) born 1864 Leeds and living in Cleckheaton in 1871 and 1881.

This William (1864) was registered Pannett, but Pennett is used on the censuses.

William Pennett b. Leeds 1870 is still living at home in 1891, with his parents in Leeds.

William born 1864 is - as Linda has said - living with his wife and two children in Cleckheaton  ( RG12. P. 3609 Fol. 12 Pg. 26)

Therefore,  I think this is probably the correct one. Here they are in 1871:
