Good morning all.

Some great answers in that lot of post and as for Pete's one, well I'm still LMAO....  ;D   (LMAO = something new I've learnt) :D :D

So do I take it that we are all in agreement, that it say's... "Millers off Hand Farm".

This 1861 census area was around Becontree Heath and Five Elms, does this help any of you Dagenham people, would you know of a "Hand Farm"....  Just a thought.   ???

There is  Five Elms Road in Dagenham. You can see where it is on a modern map at http://streetmap.co.uk
enter the road name in box and elect 'London Street'.
There are a few road names with agricultural overtones near by all in the area of Becontree.
In my Greater London street map of 1997 they spell it Beacontree

Just a thought, could it be a bad t as in Hart Farm?
Concentrating currently on:
