I am new to this site so please be patient.

I have identified that my great, great, great grandfather Thomas KEENAN married Cecilia McCAFFREY on 17th April 1854.
in IRELAND.

My father Thomas Keenan, is retiring this year, and I would love to take him to the parish/town where our family originated.

Possibly a brother Arthur Keenan Married Catharine Traynor/Treanor in August 1852.

Can anyone check out WEDDING register for the above dates at Cloone R.C. Parish church?

Any other relevant info. most welcome.

I can check out anything you need in Central Scotland.
regards

Hello Paul

I'm Peter Keenan from Glasgow. My great great grandfather Thomas Keenan married Cecilia McCaffrey in Ireland c1850. Thomas and Cecilia are first recorded on the Scottish Census 1861 with two young children, Margaret and John, who were born in Ireland.

My brother and went over to the National Library of Ireland in Dublin a few days ago (Nov.05), to trace Thomas and Cecilia's marriage certificate within the Archdiocese of Armagh, in the parish of Lordship and Ballymascanlon, but without success. Obviously they were married in another parish.

Anyway, I've managed to get as far back to Thomas and Cecilia (and more), so please reply on messageboard or to (*)

Regards, Peter
