   Morning Kris .....

  some one has been busy....

We have John Bennetts as son in law to John Jolly &  Fanny Jolly in 1861 age 8.
John Jolly married Frances Bennetts  15 March 1856
   John's father William Jolly
  Frances father Thomas Tamblyn.

So as you say from 1856 we can pin point the family.
1851  though shows 2 Fanny /Fanney Bennetts b St Columb as you say.
The one I found is listed as Benney , this Fanney/ Fanny I think is the death you found age 38 and hubby remarries by 1861.

As our original Fanny & Richard married in 1843 I wondered about more children  so as you say  Colan baptisms are ...

Mary Jane Bennetts  bap 20 June 1843 Richard & Fanny  labourer of Mountjoy
Elizabeth Ann  Bennetts bap26 Dec 1844 Richard /Fanny Lab otp
John Bennetts 23 May 1856 Richard /Fanny Lab otp.

Mary Jane dies age 19 months...leaving an Elizabeth Ann to marry to correct parents  Fanney & Rick Bennett as in 1851 they have a daughter Elizabeth age 6 so b @ 1844.

So it seems to lead to .......me probably confusing all by typing this out  ;D.

Hi Tazzie,

You have me laughing.

Righteo so we do have the marriage listing Fanny's father as Thomas Tamblyn so that is good news. You beauty - Excellent  ;D

OK it looks like Richard and Fanny Tamblyn had

Mary Jane 1843 (couldn't be the other couple as they were not married)
Elizabeth Ann 1844 (appears as only child in 1851)
John 1852 (Appears as only Bennett Child in 1861)
Richard dies 1853, Fanny remarries John Jolly in 1856

Other Couple (Richard and Fanny James)

John 1844
Richard 1846
Elizabeth Ann 1849
William 1853ish (bap not found)
Fanny died 1857 and this Richard remarries Emily Gill 1858, has young James and moves to Gerrans

Kris  :D

Okeedokey,

As Fanny Tamblyn is correct here is what I found on her family before I confused myself with Fanny James  ::)

Fanny TAMBLYN 4 Feb 1821 parents Thomas and Mary father Lab of Indian Queens St Columb

Parents Marriage

Thomas TAMLIN otp = Mary COMMON otp by Banns with consent of parents 20 Nov 1815 both signed witnesses Joseph Common and James Dennis

Siblings

Jane TAMBLYN 15 Sep 1816 parents Thomas and Mary father Streamer of Indian Queens St Col

John TAMBLYN 27 Dec 1818 parents Thomas and Mary father lab of Indian Queens St Columb

Mary TAMBLYN 23 Feb 1823 parents Thomas and Mary father lab of Queens

Phillippa TAMBLEN 4 Apr 1825 parents Thomas and Mary father lab of Indian Queens

Thomas TAMBLYN 27 Jan 1827 parents Thomas and Mary father Lab of Indian Queens

Ann TAMBLYN 4 Nov 1830 parents Thomas and Mary father lab of Queens

William TAMBLYN 17 Feb 1833 parents Thomas and Mary father lab of Indian Queens

Henry HAMBLYN 21 Nov 1836 parents Thomas and Mary father miner of Queens

Now Richard HOBBS was baptised the same day parents William and Jane father Post Boy of Queens

William HOBBS otp = Jane HAMBLYN otp by Banns 28 May 1836 St Col Maj both signed with their marks witnesses Thomas Tamblyn and James Dennis

As you can see by this the Hobbs Children from the 1841 census are grandchildren

Cheers Kris  :D

Hi Sarah,

Hope I haven't confused you too much here.

I am back home and note John and Maria had 6 children baptised in Colan before moving to Luxulyan to have another.

I note Maria was from St Col so should be able to help there also should you require

Cheers Kris  :D
