George & Sarah HARDING to Queenscliff Victoria

Hi,

This couple were married in Cookham Berkshire in 1854.  I have checked and this is correct.  The couple had 8 children in Queenscliff Victoria.  I have dates for 4 of them starting in 1859 the other 4 I only only have day and month - no year.

I think they went on an assisted package to Australia between 1854 and 1859 and I have looked at the Index to Assisted British immigrants 1839 - 1871 and found the following:

Harding --- Infant with (Age1)
Harding ----Wife with   (Age -)
Harding 004 children with (Age -)
Harding George William (Age 33)

The ship is the EBBA BRAHE
The date is December 1857
Book 11a  Page 126

I don't know what the third entry

Harding 004 children with (Age -)

means.

Can anyone look up this ship and the passengers for me or is this it?

Hello Jenn,

That was quick!  Thank you very much that's encouraging.  This is all a bit tentative as the info was sent to me via GR and I don't know for sure yet if George has 'my' GGGparents as his parents.  But even if anything that is found doesn't fit with me it will help this other hunter!

She has now sent these 2 marriages:
Annie Harding = Ernst Max Christopher Hinsch
Alice Emily Harding = Jack Woolford
But nothing on where or when.

I've read that Victoria BDM's are very good but I've tried several times and cannot get access.  Could I ask you to look for their details if you wouldn't mind?
