HARDING ---- INFANT WITH I DEC 1857 EBBA BRAHE 11A 126

HARDING 004 CHILDREN WITH C DEC 1857 EBBA BRAHE 11A 126

HARDING JOHN 10 DEC 1857 EBBA BRAHE 13 80
HARDING LOUISA 8 DEC 1857 EBBA BRAHE 13 80

Now  I  have a  bit of  thought  about  the families on  the Ebba Brahe

It  is  hard  to say who  belongs to  who.  So  I  will  ask  Gennie  to have a  look and maybe she  might be able to look  it up at the Provic.

I  think  it  is  just  to strong a  link  with  the right names of George Harding and Sarah Hyde.  It would  require a look at one or two certificates to confirm or deny either way

Incidental  looking at deaths of the children   for George and Emma  found  that  he was George William Spencer   Harding and she was Emma Allen.  Now  this George Harding death details were

Surname: HARDING
George William Spencer Harding died aged 60 in 1884at South Yarra reg no 14154
father Job Harding mother Ann Spencer

My  own  gut feeling  is  saying don't discount  the death of George Harding in 1890 whichcannot be ruled simply because it says the wrong mother.  We all  know  information  on  death certificate can be incorrect and  information  can be mistranscribed on  the index's
kind regards Jenn

G;day
Hope you dint mind me jumping in unannounced like this.
I google George William Spencer Harding every now and
then on the off chance I'll hit something and this time it looks
like I have.
OK, Emma was Georges s second wife. His first wifes name
was Louisa Kemp( if my memory serves me correctly, I don't
have my papers and stuff with me)They married in London 1847
The children John and Louisa were from this marriage.

Cant pull up  john's birth or george and Louisa's marriage.
Emma ( Allen) was mother of the rest
and three more that were born in Australia
Job Christopher who died as an infant about 2 years I think
then Joseph and William but not necessarily in that order
They lived in Prahran Melbourne.
Cheers, Andrew
P.S. George William Spencer Harding was my
Great Great Great Grandfather

Hi All,

After reading through this thead - I am somewhat confused as to which ancestors belong to which contributers?

Anyway - I am a descendent of George and Sarah Harding of Queenscliff (via their daughter Annie who maried Ernst Hinsch).

I have traced Georges parents as James Harding and Sarah Rixon of Cookham (although I understand James had other wives as well).

I believe James Harding parents were alos called James and Sarah.

Just wondering if anyone else is still researching this line and if they have managed to have any more luck getting back further?

cheers,

John
