Can Someone have a lookup of the index for me for a Death of A Frank Greaves about 1972-73 dont know where he died so any frank greaves will be helpfull  probably england Though.

His Grandson has just told me he was born Frank  not sure when he was born his son doesnt know anything about him other tham he died those years doesnt even know were he is buried .
Just found out his birthday was June the 20th what year we dont know

I have checked 1971 and 1974 and there is no Frank Greaves death that fits with a birthday of 20th June

March qtr 1974 Frank Abraham Greaves 13.7.1901 in Chesterfield
December qtr 1974 Frank Norman Greaves b 30.12.1904 died in Darlington

With so little info there is really no way of pinpointing the right year of death or the right entry

Unless further info becomes available I can only suggest you search the full GRO index at your nearest main library (omitting 1971-1974) to see if you can find him with that birthday

Does his grandson know his grandmothers name and maiden name?  You could find the grandparents marriage and get a copy of the marriage cert which will give you his age at that time.  If he was born before 1901 we may be able to find him on the 1901 census

Hi Yes ive told him that myself that he will have to get marriage cert to find out info he is only just started looking .
He was married to sarah E E Brocklehurst in Belper in 1935 June Qtr she was born 1915 in Belper.
The only possible Birth i have found is a Frank greaves in 1903 Belper.
he went to fight in 2nd world war .
When his Grandson was born in 1971 he came to see him in Blackburn Lancashire and they were told he died  not long after in the next couple of years.
his Son was put into care when he went to war as his mother went into hospital.
They dont know what happened to the mother after that as he stayed in care.

Hi

I suspect he may have been born after 1903 if he fought in WW2.  He would have been 36 when that war started and although not impossible - he was a bit old. 

Sarah was b 1915 and if we assume Frank was either the same age as her or a couple of years older - a search of Frank Greaves births between 1905-1915 yields 40 matches if you exclude the ones with extra christian names

Narrow it down to 1913-1915 and you get 13 matches so you can see the problem without more info
