Just browsing ancestry and found on the Vic Rural Cemetery Records entries for the following

Beasley, Joseph N Timor year 1884
Beasley , Dr Timor year 1882

Unfortunately I do not have ancestry so I can't view the full records.

Troods

I'm not entirely sure where this fits, having just arrived on the thread  :D  but here is the small amount of detail

Joseph N Beasley
age 10 years
Died 23 Oct 1884
Cemetery Timor

Additional Yes

Dr Beasley

Thanks Trish

Maybe John Thomas & Sarah Ann didn't get married after all.  Although as a Doctor and a 'pillar of the community' you would think he would.  Maybe he left a wife back in England.

Hi all,
Have found that I am, if all information is correct the great granddaughter of Sarah Irving.

Am trying to find more information out and it would seem that the information of 10 children is correct as is their living in Tassie.

Sarah's daughter was called Annie Beasley b. 21 dec 1876 married William Moncreiff in 1893. This was his second marriage.  She later married a man called Louis Fineman in 1918.  Annie had 5 children to William and then one child to Louis.  Their names were Mabel, William, Evelyn, Glad, Joyce and Ronald.    Joyce was my mother.

Annie died we think in 1936.

Any help on Sarah or Annie would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Birdsnest

Sorry it's taken so long to reply but your message seemed to slip through the net.

I do have Annie on my tree but the only info I have is that she was born in 1876 in Timor, Victoria.  My late wife was descended from Catherine Maria Mullins the half sister of Sarah Irving, both were daughters of Sarah Ann Hopkins. There was also another connection with Mary Howitt Beasley, Sarah's younger sister.  Mary married John Richard Maslin/Maslen who was the grandson of Catherine and brother of Rosa Ann Maslin my wife's great grandmother.  It's a bit tangled ain't it, however if you would like info on the ancestry of Annie and Sarah then I am more than willing to share.

Please let me know.

Cheers
