Thanks so much, it came thru very clear.
What do you make of it though?

she has had fits for five years
term inmates of the house is used; she is called a patient
sleeping with sister in law (a sister of David Denham or a Luke?)
not sure of the language of the time, would others in the household be called inmates of the house?
becasue she had been ill, I guess she could be a "patient"
it mentions she did died at her residence...
sorry, no children...

Wow! Lots of wonderful information being provided for you, Julie. :D Unfortunately, it does rule out the 1824 Dunbar birth for David, as parents there were David and Euphemia. However, the marriage registration to Frances Murray gives them as John and Elizabeth Denham. :(

Yes, there is so much great material...
I looked briefly for a John and Elizabeth Denham in Scotland census records with a son named David etc. and couldn't find any that seemed to fit the bill. so far that is...
I am trying to get in touch with Mt Pleasant Cemetery and see if they have dates for birth for David, Isabella, and Esther etc.
Their records are on microfiche but not sure where they can be viewed etc.

Karen:
whereever you are, Bless you...
I don't have the access to the Canadian records you have...
I just called the Mt Pleasant Cemetery in London.
They had no info on Isabel Luke that the young man could find.
He found that D A Denham and Esther Denham had been moved to an A S Murray but he has no idea what or where they are.
Also he had a date of burial as 10 Sept 1914, so maybe that is the date they were moved.
The fellow at the cemetery also does not know where their microfiche records are...

Your welcome!!  I'm in Ontario  :)

I think if you contact the London & Middlesex branch, they will have the microfilm

For REFERENCE FIELD numbers beginning with "MX-", write to...

                   London-Middlesex Branch, OGS
                   Grosvenor Lodge, 1017 Western Road
                   London, Ontario, Canada
                   N6G 1G5
(Please note: the large Mount Pleasant cemetery, MX-144-CS,
located in the city of London is available only on fiche.)

Is AS Murray a person?  Are they still in Mt. Pleasant?

Hi Julie

This is the closest I can see on the 1841 census, which also fits with David's occupation:

Jas Denham    70, tailor
Jean Denham    60, b. Scotland
William Denham    20, carpenter journeyman
David Denham    20, carpenter journeyman

Address: High Street Brown's Close, Dunbar

As you know, no relationships given on the 1841 census. Everyone showing as born in the county apart from Jean.

Mmm, maybe not the right entry. There is this one in 1851 that might be the same David

David Denham    27, carpenter journeyman, b. Dunbar
Jane Denham    25
Jane Denham    1

Address High Street, Dunbar
