Ambrose- American Soldier?
« on: Thursday 12 June 08 15:37 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find out what happened to Alexander Ambrose after the 1910 Philadelphia census. I know that a Corporal of that name and from Pennsylvania was severely wounded as I have seen a newspaper clipping, but I don't know whether he's the one I'm looking for.

I've tried all the usual sites, but can't find a draft card which would help confirm whether I have the right person.

I can't find him after 1910 which makes me think he died in or just after the First World War as he was born in 1895.

Any suggestions would be very welcome - I've asked on the US board as well.

Thank you,

Bev.
Ambrose; Llandilofawr, Pennsylvania.

Rees(e); Pennsylvania.
Lewis, Llandilofawr.

Thanks for looking, but it's neither of those.

My Alexander was born in Philadelphia in 1895.

I have him still in Philadelphia on the 1900 census but nothing after that.
