Hello Adam.

Would the Hardy inscriptions include Thomas Hardy?

Thank you,

Hello Anthony Pearson. I have removed the Pearson name from the list.
The name was there by mistake.

Hi, I'm interested in Nicholas Raine married in Escomb church to Ann, and buried there in 1898.  Do you have the inscription for any Raines please

Hello Cannon. The only Raine gravestone at Escomb is one at the old Saxon church yard for Hannah, Dorothy and Thomas Johnson. They are all from the 1850's
There are no Raine gravestones at the municipal cemetery at Escomb.

Thanks for that.  That's interesting, I have a photo of the old church here saying Nicholas Raine's tombstone is to the left of the church door.  Could that be so?

Hello Cannon. Are you sure you have the correct church?
The latest date shown on any of the gravestones is 1859, 30 years before the one that you are looking for.
I would think that any burial for Escomb at that time would be the Halimond road cemetery, and as you will see by post number one the cemetery is in a poor condition.
