does anyone have any ideas of where I can go to find out more about orphanages in Beverley?

I've just been given some information about a missing gt uncle that told his family he was raised in one but I dont have much to go on at all

How about trying the East Riding archives in Beverley or the Beverley library which is next door, sorry I don't have any contact address to hand.
