Maria Severn/Spencer - Snelston Derbys

Hi there. I am looking to confirm the maiden name of Maria who was born in Doveridge,Derbys 1796. christened 23 oct 1796.


She married William Roe on 23 Dec 1817 in Snelston,Derbys


In the IGI there are two different entries for the marriage, she is down as Severn in one and Spencer in the other.

She had a son george who was christened 19 jan 1823 in Uttoxeter, Staffs

If someone could help me discover the correct name I would be very grateful.

I would go for the one with the proper batch number. I have been told if the batch isn't prefixed with a C or M - then don't believe it
