I have hectors, interesting about the spelling, his roots were quiet easy to find though.  Worth keeping that spelling though just encase i hit any more walls. 
I would like to eventually research his side too but will focus on Jeans first otherwise i will get too sidetracked

I note from the information on familysearch, that Rose Harriet ROBINSON died in 1921...such a short life.  As you are probably aware, the information has been submitted and it is certainly worthwhile having the information validated. 

I am confused as to an uncle - do you mean one of Rose Harriet's brothers?

Oh sorry cando, her uncle as in her mums brothers.  Jean had 20 kids, mums name was Phillias and her brother Brian was apparently dark. Mum remembers him and Jean from when she was a child, although at the time she didnt know that they were her biological relatives, they were just a freind of the family at the time apparently  if that makes sense

No Jenn ....only up to 1907.  Regulations changed last year but you can apply for 'current one'  ie within the last 100 years - conditions apply.

Thanks for that Cando,  you  used to be able to get them  up to 1920 from memory

Perhaps the 1936 electoral roll occupation listed  could be the reason that some of the children were adopted/fostered out.
