matta family cornwall etc

been trying find any info on name as the name only appers in cornwall  in earlt 18th century so i guess it came from abroad maybe italy anyone got any ideas or help please rob

been tracing my grans maiden which is matta  i can see fron cencus that the name only appears in cornwall but i also found a family 1851 cencus from italy so im guessing a italian called matta went to st ewe bout 1700  anyone else any ideas bout the name thanks rob

Looking for Mattas in England.  Believe its Cornwall,  my grandfather was Gerald Albert Matta any info you have would be appreciated

i have a lot of info on family  in area my gran was olive matta  she got a son called joseph  monty matta who lives in area
i have traced back to st just roseland early 1600 s i have collected a lot of pictures and info
what i see gerald  matta is from nanpean which is about right as my gran was livin in alviggen lots of family still in area
