Looking for
Thomas Chayter My G Grandad.B 1843.Gunner? Bombadier.
Millitary man joined Royal Artillary think in Londonderry
Lived Guernsey may be at St Peter Port Castel fort? Or Catel
Married Elizabeth Roussel Guernsey  1866. Elizabeth and Thomas had my grandma in County Kerry  1887 but have not as yet found her birth certificate.Also lived 37 Royal Artillery Cottages Charlton Woolwich,Hurst Hurdle Lymington Southampton,Block house fort Alverstoke in 1877. They had two sons surviving .Henry Charles b1874 maybe born Limmerick Ireland. He went on to join the army in ireland, had medical at Londonderry age 14 yrs.Younger son Thomas Robert also joined when he was 14 yrs old.I have copy their papers.
Thomas Chayter died 1892 at 8 Bangor St Seaford,Litherland aged 48.
I would like to know who Thomas Chayter (b 1843c ireland )parents were.On Parish records for marriage Thomas  named his father as Thomas also we belive a military man and came from Ireland.Can anyone please help me I have come to a full stop.If i came to Ireland where would i start to search.How can I get more info on my G grandads family and army career.

Until you get a place in Ireland (parish if not townland) you will not be an;e to check for church records (if they exist).

PRONI website has Will extracts (not working at the moment but just keep trying)- you might find something there.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
