This is a long shot but here goes anyway.

I have been searching for Ethel Yelland who was divorced in 1917 and was living in Galvston and Houston Texas during 1916/1917 and may be later.

Are there voters lists available for that time?

I checked the Houston city directory for 1917 and there was no Ethel Yelland.  Was Yelland her married or maiden name?

Yelland was her married name and Beare was her maiden name.

She most likely remarried.

There were no Beares in the 1917 directory.

If you have a Family History Center near you, it seems that they have marriage records or indexes for that time frame, so maybe you could figure out if she did remarry.

I don't live in the US.

What I will do is go to the SSDI index and just put her first name in and see what comes up.

Ethel was born in England in 1886 so hopefully there may be someone with her birthdate. I have probably left other messages regarding her on this site.

She is a brickwall.

The last information regarding Ethel was that she was in Philadelphia in 1941. Not a great deal of help really.

This may be a long shot, but I found an obituary for a man named Dewey Bjork, age 47, in the Daily Globe of Ironwood, Michigan dated 2 Jan 1946.  One of his cousins was listed as Mrs. Ethel Yelland of Stambaugh.

I also found an obituary for Thomas Yelland, which lists his daughter as Mrs. Verna Lowe.  I found this in the California death index:
