Hi Annie. I don't know if you are still researching Peter Thomson?
Well he was my great Uncle Pete and he lived with my family in the mid 1960s. One day when I came home from school, he was gone and none of my family ever discovered where he went.
His wife, Bertha Irvine (my Grandmother's younger sister) remarried 1969 (after the 1968 divorce) and died 1972.
Also, Peter Thomson was born at Pencaitland 2020 (from birth certificate).
He is also on the 1921 Census 1 year old with his parents Thomas and Janet in Gladsmuir.
On the 1946 marriage cerificate for Peter Thomson, he is classed as a widower, so Bertha was his 2nd wife.
Hope this helps, if you're still keeping an eye on this.
Davy

There is a marriage that could fit:

Peter THOMSON and
Elizabeth Rose GRANT
1968
685 / 8 / 205
Leith

Would all need checking on the original certs....

Thanks for the nice welcome Monica.
I really wasn't sure if he got remarried, or knew about the Decree of Divorce against him in 1968, because he left our family home about 1966 and we never heard from him again.
I always assumed he fell out with my parents and moved away and it certainly looks like he moved to Elginshire.
Thanks again
Davy
