Regards

Good point. There are actually three townlands named Ballymoney is County Londonderry: in Aghanloo Parish, Bovevagh Parish and Dunboe Parish.

Let us know when you get the certificate details to see if we can pinpoint the location, find any more information for you, etc.

P.S. marriage certificate will list residence of bride and groom at the time of the marriage which may or may not be the place they were born or where their families lived.

Will try to figure out the townland but what's the registration district (should be on the certificate)?

Never mind- there's a Ballymagowan townland in Templemore Parish, Co. Londonderry (Londonderry Poor Law Union, Barony of North West Liberties of Londonderry)- portion is included in City of Londonderry.

Possible marriage for the parents:
William Ward married 1903 Co. Derry to Mary Jane Rodgers

P.S. Ballymagowan means 'town of the canons'
