Hello there,

I was just wandering where I could order or find my grandmothers birth certificate. She was born September 1930 in County Kerry, Tralee as I believe. Her fathers name was Patrick Murphy and I know from her marriage certificate he was a dock labourer.

Welcome to Rootschat!  You can order Irish birth, marriage and death cetificates (from 1864 onwards) from

http://www.groireland.ie/

Just give them all of the information you have - date and probable place of birth, parents names etc.

Sorry Liz - I should have said that you cannot actually order the certs online, but there is info on the website on how to apply by post for the certificates.
