I have just had a "GOOGLE", and there was a 305 Polish Sqd at Harford Bridge.
I wonder if I am getting my wires crossed, could he have ended up in Poland, and still get the France/Germany medal ?
I was only a kid when he mentioned things to me ,and it was not very relevant then. He just liked my Airfix Kits  :D :D

No, you are quite correct, and I should be hung up from the nearest lamp-post by my thumbs.  :-[ I honestly meant to write that it was a Polish squadron - I have no idea why I said FF.

However, to get the France & Germany Star he would have had to either flown a mission, or have spent time on Continental Western Europe.

My apologies and well done for picking up on my mistake.
