Hi Toni

Yep thats the one I found.  Trouble is she would have been 15 when she married John Carey in 1763 unless of course she was not baptised as a baby but as a child.

Do you know how old she was when she died and where she died?

To bring this up to date:

I am now becoming convinced that the Mary who married John Carey was actually the younger one.  I think this because their children were born between 1764 and 1784 and if the mother was born 1735 as originally thought, she would have been 49 when the last child was born which is a bit unlikely, or at least I think so.

Also just found her burial on findmypast and you might be interested in this toni*

The death as you mentioned 1819 gives her age as 76 years meaning she was born 1743 so as I guessed she was 4 when baptised not just born and therefore 20 when she married  ;D ;D ;D

And even more interesting is the fact that I have just found a burial for John born 1742 in Hooe on the very same day.  What's the betting that is John Carey and his wife Mary and so now I ask myself how did they die?
