Mrs Voges & Emma Voges, South Australia
« on: Tuesday 01 July 08 07:39 BST (UK) »
I have found a photograph of Juliane Marie Emma VOGES, known as Emma, and born in 1853 in Adelaide, South Australia to Carl George August VOGES and Johanne Ernestine Bertha PLOCKHORST.

In the photgraph Emma is aged 10 and is with her 47 year old mother.

If anyone is researching this family, I'd be happy to let them have a scan of the photograph.

Hi Dee,

My name is Annie and I am from Denmark.

I would like a copy of the photo of Juliane Marie Emma Voges. She is the sister of my gret great great great grandmother, i.e. they have the same father, but not the same mother. My ancestor was the dauther of Carl Voges first wife, Emma Minna Werthmann. Her name was Anna Caroline Bertha Voges. My great grandmother was born in Australia. Her mother, my great great grandmother, married a Danish man in Australia, had some children with him and went to Denmark with him and all the children.

Hello Annie.

Welcome to Rootschat.   :)

I'll be happy to send you a copy of the photograph. However, before I can do that, you will need to post two more messages on this thread. They only need to be of a few word, but you need to have posted three messages before we can use the Personal Message system for you to give me your email address. It must not be posted on this thread.

Also I'm away from home for the next two weeks, and don't have access to my photo files. However once I get home, I'll send it to you.
The photograph was in an album belonging to my great great great grandparents Hermann Heinrich Wilhelm and Maria EHMCKE.

Hi Dee,

Thank you for your answer. I'll look forward to receiving the photo. The father of Juliane Emma was Carl Georg August Voges. He was born on 30.05.1805 at Braunschweig, St martini, Germany.

Hi Dee
I have researched this South Australian family for a friend of mine in Denmark a few years ago, and she has just found your post here.  She does not speak English very well, so asked me to contact you on her behalf.  She would be absolutely thrilled to have a copy of the photo.
Thank you
Shelly
