Could not find another Richard b c1836.  The only other couple I could find, you mentioned is..

1841 - HO107 Piece 1421 Book 24
address: Latt,  Neath
All in county

Richard Guy 25 engineer
Mary 30 "
Margaret " 5mths

This looks like Richard (above) bapt
GUY RICHARD s/o JOHN (LAB) & MARGARET bapt 12 MAY 1816 SWANSEA age 8M SWSSM (St Mary)

Checked bapts, could not find a Richard s/o  Richard and Mary 1836, only the one in my first post.

Possible bapt for this family.. GUY HENRY s/o RICHARD (GASMAN) &  MARY bapt 21 APR 1836 NEATH

Possible Deaths Jun 1840  GUY  Henry Neath  26 541

Best cross them off the list if they are found to narrow down...

THis little one HENRY GUY was born 1836 and died 1840 so he wouldn`t appear on any census, I have a feeling that his father RICHARD who married MARY HOPKINS, is the brother of the MARY GUY  my G/G?Grandmother, they seem to be living in the same area of Neath, THE LATT on the 1841,  Marg,,

Hi Marg.,
Yes still keeping an eye on you.  ;D

The Li'l Fisherman is my grandson.

If you had ancestors in Fforchaman they were probably miners.

Glad you sorted that Marg....

Hi fisherman an Li'l Fisherman ((waves))  :)

Just for info... http://www.freereg.org.uk/cgi/Search.pl ...has some bapts, post 1837, for Swansea, also Aberdare/Aberaman....which includes Fforchaman (I had rellies there also  ::))  don't know if you will find anything, but worth a go eh...

Fforchaman was a subdivision of Aberdare parish. Addresses in this hamlet seem to have been near the centre of Aberdare

Best wishes

You know you will get there eventually marg, just like a jigsaw  ;D
