Hi Tracy

Anything's possible but very hard to prove one way or the other because of the commonality of the names.  Have you found the marriage of Martha ? and Robert Jones?  Because of their ages in 1851 it is likely it took place before 1837.

I don't access to later Gwyddelwern records 1770ish to 1812 for Martha but I have looked at the LLanfor transcripts.  There are two possible candidates for your Robert Jones - someone needs to check later records to see if there are any other possibilities

June 21, 1812 Robert s/o David JONES and Ellin abode Penmaen
Aug 13, 1811 Robert s/o Edward JONES and Frances abode Ciltalgarth

Heather

SORRY just read your original post - I guess you have him already in 1813 :)

There is a Winifred JONES on the 1861, age 20, b. Corwen, house servant at Pen y Park Clocaenog
RG9/4292/31/3

FreeBMD has possible birth for Winifred as Mar Q 1841, Corwen, vol 27, page 138.  This might be the quickest way to identify mother Martha's maiden name?

Thanks Heather. I've got a list of certificates to send for. So hopefully I will get the correct info from them!

Thanks

Hi

It's perhaps best to link this other thread to avoid any  further duplication:
