Hello -

I know this is an old post - but I recently realized that I needed to extend my Healy search into County Mayo (they lived in Roscommon, but right on the border).

All I can find with the the information that you provided is a family in County Galway.  I know there were some townland changes between Galway and Mayo in the late 1800's but I don't know what they are specifically so you'll need to look into that.

All five baptismal records are for County Galway, Parish/District of Bullaun.  The parents are Michael Healy and Bridget Kean (although I can't find a marriage record for them in any county) and their children are as follows:

Margaret Healy  - Baptized - 31 Oct 1831  - Witnesses:  Thomas and Ellen Burke
Catherine Healy - Baptized - 17 Nov 1833  -  Winesses:  John and Catherine Hynes
Mary Healy        - Baptized - 08 May 1836  -  Witness:  Catherine Nevin
Ellen Healy        - Baptized - 08 Oct 1837   -  Witness:  Ellen Kean
Martin Healy      - Baptized - 09 Nov 1838  -  Witnesses:  William Grehan & Honoria Donohoe

This was the closest match I could find with the information you provided.  Hope this helps.

Colleen

Hi Colleen,  Thanks for your message and for your information.

Yes I agree all your information fits as much now as it did back then so thanks for taking the time to write. You have also found some siblings I knew nothing about.

I have just had a look at the 1911 census which I don't think was out when I first posted this and it says Co. Galway. So your info. is looking really good.
Thans again
Wendy.
