Some thing bugs me.
Sophia and William Beale married close to home,  where you imagine people would know whether William Henman was dead or alive.
 I haven't been through the full BMD index and there is just a chance that his death is on there and not on Free BMD, but there are 2 William Beall deaths registered in Tenterden, one in 1842 and the other in 1845.
Now what if the second one was in fact William Henman death registered by William Beall and the registrar made a mistake? Far fetched perhaps but I can't see them marrying near home if William was still alive.
We could do with someone with access to the PR's to see if there is a burial for William Henman.

William Henman snr was a wheelwright; would that fit with him appearing on the Tithe register?   What  year was the  Tithe register?

FreeBMD has 2 deaths for  a William Henman, both in 1842, in Kent.  He could be one of those.

Thinking sideways..........could William Henman Beall d 1900 aged 67 be William Henman bc 1832 Maidstone Kent? 

Added the extra name to provide a male heir for his step-father?

Any thoughts?
